Hi Guys
I've been thinking of refinishing my rims. What do you think would look better Pearl White or Black. Rims are currently Pearl White. I Photoshopd the picture to show black. ![]() ![]() Thanks in Advance. J

Instead of going all the way black, how about an anthracite/charcoal to soften up the look a bit.

I think the white/body color wheels go great with the current theme of the front valence, boxed rockers and quarter vents that your car has going on.

Plastidip the centers any color you want. Then go back to pearl white when you want by peeling it off.

No black centers
Ever since Porsche changed to solid black painted wheel centers I have not liked the look. The wheel loses all its depth/character and goes flat; not fitting for one of the beautiful and functional wheels ever produced.

I'm torn
Oddly enough, I agree with Ronnie but he replied before I could get to it... I think the color matched wheels compliment your front valance quite nicely. On the contrary, the black ties in with the rest of the black trim on the car and being a Targa there's a lot of it. I agree with Bryan's approach... if it were me and I was seeking possible change - I'd plasti-dip them black and see how it speaks to you. My $0.00002, HTH - good luck, report back... |

I'm going to Plasti-dip them black, at least for this season. See if I like them.
Can always peel it off. Thanks Guys!

I bought a knock-off at Home Depot, and it's pretty much not removable. Luckily, it's on my 4Runner I don't care a whole lot for. |

My vote: color matched...there's already enough black on the car for contrast.
Plasti-Dip.....yeah, I did that to the wheels on my FJ Cruiser. Looks great, still holding up @ 2 years so far. Get tired of it, peel it off. And if you really like the color, peel it off and have them permanently painted black.

Black or gunmetal
Color matched is too "dated" IMHO. If they were webbed centers I may say gold. |
