Need Advice on larger tail for Full Bay IC with AC
Hi,
I have the typical C2 turbo body kit on my 1988 930. I want to install a full bay IC and keep my AC. Which tail do you recommend? V. |

I have the GT-2 tail from M.A.Shaw, and also have a full bay I/C.... However I also do not have A/C. I think the removal of the A/C compressor is done so you can run a full I/C... I do not think there is a tail out there that will let you run both (in their stock mounting location). The top of the A/C compressor is too high in its stock location. I am sure something could be fabbed up to work, but not in their stock locations....

The issue with the fullbay IC and compressor is more about the compressor placement within the engine bay than the actual tail.

I have the same I/C as DonE and my compressor under a stock tail, my engine however is moved back .75" because of the G50/50

The C2 intercooler will fit on top of the a/c compressor. The problem is the 1/2 bay condenser in the tail on the pass. side - it has to go. The C2 uses a totally different condenser setup.

I have a 993 tt Condenser that could be modified to fit in your front left fender or either right fender, for $200 and the price of some hoses you could have what I paid Griffiths a couple thousand for.
