914-6 w/ 930 powerplant?
Curious if anyone has ever put a 3.3 turbo motor in a 914/6? I think the hardest part would be hand fabricating the exhaust system. Probably a crazy idea, just wondered if it had been done successfully. I can see a 3.3 w/ Motec and a big intercooler w/ 450 HP..... Sorry I was dreaming.

Ha. You 914 guys worry me a little...
![]() The only thing more insane than a 930 in a 914 would be a 930 (or blown Suby) in a 550... I know the latter's been done at least a couple of times - now those are some scary power-to-weight figures...

I have pictures of two different 930/914 transplants on my home computer (I'm out of town right now). Chapman has posted several threads on his effort, many are focused on the slick intercooler setup. I don't think I've seen the 956 version.

I've been busy assembling the 914 turbo carrera, I should have it finished by the end of the week. I was able to get most of the interior in tonight it's almost 2am and I am off to bed.
This is the thread I started on the 914world board. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=75381

If I didnt feel I had to refurbish every used part into like new condition I would of been done long ago.
The body took most of the time, after it sat at the body shop for 8 months I hauled it home, preped the whole car before bringing it back to get painted, they still took over a month to shoot it and my spoiler and rockers are still sitting there in primer. If there not done by this week I will finish them myself I dont need a spray booth for that. ARGHHHHHH......
