Turbo intake tube
My engine builder told me that there were a few things that need to be improved after the engine install, one of them being the restrictive factory turbo intake tube. I see that you did what I'm planning on but I would love to get some pictures of where you went from the wheelwell.
TIA, Marcus ![]() |

Marcus,
The car is owned by a friend of mine from the OVR/PCA.. his name is Jim Briggs. I'll see if i can get some better pictures and detail on the set up you are talking about. |

My white 1980
This is what the car looked like until this year...trying to look stock but making about 450 fwhp. Latest iteration is 500+ EFI, rollbar, some fiberglass bits, and race interior...pics coming soon.

Rory, I am guessing that car doesn't have coil overs. Did you see how little travel there is on the wheels when it was jacked up compared to being on the ground? It must have some pretty stiff t-bars in there.

I find it interesting that the turbo oil tank has both a scavange line and gravity drain to the chain cover.
Anyone know the reason, I'm guessing it is an overkill thing? Looks like a very well thought out and well built car. |

Is that a Garrett turbo? I wonder if it has something to do with the over oiling issues sometimes encountered with fitting one of these? I know that an oil restrictor of some sort is often used, maybe on a track car such as this, that additional line running to the chain cover is good insurance?

I'll have to ask him which turbo it is. I am not sure if it's a Garrett. |

I was thinking that extra line to the chain cover was for a vent.
As for the suspension it doesn't look like it would take much to get some wheels in the air when cornering ![]()

Yup, its a 77. come to think of it, I may have taken you for a ride in it if my memory serves me. I led a 944 gathering out to orgonia and took a guy for a ride in it with your last name. I can't find a pic on this computer at the moment but its yellow with tan leather and color keyed fuchs, and a monster motor. |
