testing for faulty injector
Im still trying to find the cause of my miss and hesitation. I've changed all ignition hardware wires included. To see if I have a bad injector, I purchased a laser thermometer and tested the heat coming off each header pipe. I found the # 1 to read about 100 degs higher than the others. The fluctuation is greater too. Could this be the bad injector? Has anyone else perform this test with successs? Thanks!

I tested mine exactly how you are describing. I sent all 6 to Marren Fuel Injection to trade them for 6 matched injectors. The temps between the cylinders closed up to 25 degrees difference at idle.

how much for exchanged injectors?

Owned 2 3.3 turbos and both had shot injectors,,new set costs around £200-£250 gbp here in the uk,,which is around $400-$500 dollars,,personally with my experiences i would go ahead in replace them if you have the spare cash ,,then you know you have all brand new parts in there..if not defo remove them and check/clean!

I agree Stup! Thats what I will do. I changed 2 and no change. I guess I may have more than one thats bad.
This has been frustrating. I was hoping to find the one but to no avail. |
