BOV vacuum hose
Down to the last items on a new intercooler install, where does one hook the small vacuum hose from the BOV?

If your car still has the deceleration valve you can tee it into that vacuum line which is attached to the top left vacuum port on the throttle body.
My '87 930 with long neck garretson intercooler is much nicer to drive in my opinion with the deceleration valve disabled by removing the vacuum line to it and using it on the C2 type BOV instead. With the vacuum line off the deceleration valve it stays closed and is just sitting there inoperable so the motor decelerates faster during upshifts making the revs match perfectly while upshifting at lower rpms around town. I havn't noticed any increase in burbleing and popping in the exhaust while decelerating either. I think tapping into intake manifold vacuum anywhere else would work too. |
