What are the benefits of v-band?
I have seen Precision and Garrett turbine housings advertised with v-band outlets. What are the benefits of v-band? If someone has a good link explaining the benefits, I'd appreciate it as I haven't found anything yet. Thanks!

V-bands are a quick effective means to make the attachment in this location. However the turbocharger must be mounted off the turbine housing and a v-band can not be used for mounting it (on a street application), therefore you would need to bracket the turbine inlet flange.

Thanks! I guess it'll all make more sense shortly as I just purchased the Precision SC6162SPR from TD Autowerkes.

You can rotate the flange in continuous fashion until the position is right. Also, it can be undone quickly.

I wish I could get Tial's V-Band inlet and outlet housing, It is soooo cool and flows even more than a normal housing.
