- OEM exhaust and thermal reactors
- 930/63 distributor (w/ vacuum retard port)

h20cooled7.
Is it only the pump and injectors, or the whole system with plumbing, checkvalves, etc?

picture may help me.

h20cooled7 03-07-2008 05:03 PM

ya just the pump and injectors

Its the only thing I kept from my system because when I removed it I didnt want to remove the headers so I just cut the air tubes.

The air tubes on my car were so weak that I doubt that anyone will have one in one piece... I think you may have to buy new.

+1 on NathanUk's comment. I just pulled the air injection plumbing off my '79 today. No way it was coming off without destroying it.

Have you tried the Porsche junk yards like Auto Atlanta? I'm sure the prices will be high but you can piece together what is missing. Just an option.

I have tried calling around. Right now I am going to hold off on the car purchase and purchase of smog equipment.

It was a '79 in very very good condition, full records, great modifications all for a good price. However, given the location (travel costs to see the car), shipping/driving costs, cost of smog equipment, cost of installing (which would be my time) I think I could get a good 86-88 for around the same total. I am not too happy about it, but I didn't want to get the car home and have it registered as non-driving until I got all the stuff on. True, I could take my chances at a few smog centers that I am sure have never seen a 930 engine compartment, but it is still a risk. You never know, the guy could be an Porsche nut.

I thought this one was a go, and after all this time looking, I am still second guessing whether I should just do it. I am sure there will be others though.

BTW, thanks to all for the offers. I appreciate it.

I have the complete air injection system from my 85 930. The air manifold is intact. If you will send me an e-mail address I will send a photo of the complete system. It is already boxed up and ready to ship. I am asking $150 OBO plus shipping. Thanks,

Tom

I have everything on your list EXCEPT the distributor - As far as I know, these cars do not have any EGR provision.

I have:
Smog pump, brackets, hoses, valves, fittings, and the 'spider' manifold;
Heat exchanger exhaust, including cat pipe and dual outlet muffler

Let me know if you're interested.

Tom/kellcats521,
I think the 930 change K-jet slightly in 1984. The 78-79 did not have cats and a slightly different injection system. So, though I really appreciate the offers, I will have to play it safe and stay with the 78-83 stuff.

Thanks again.
Justin
