removing the air injectors
Do you have to remove the headers to get the air injectors out? I looks like every post I have seen about it the headers are off...
|
No, they should come out w/ the headers on. They may be seized up, it could take lots of patience to keep from breaking them off in the heads...
|
I removed mine with B&B headers with heat in place.
I used a 3/8 drive crows foot wrench to get at them. I think it was 14mm if i recall correctly... anyway, you can buy sets of them at harbor freight tools really cheap and they work. I cut the beat up old spider manifold (from people jacking up the car from there)around the middle to get it out. Figured I can always braze or weld it back together if I had to ever put it back. The tips of some of the air injector nozzles were burned away and gone, thats real nice to see on a turbo . . . . |
Cool thanks, I will load up on pb blaster and give it a shot.

What are you going to use for plugs? The pipe plugs are bad to fall out. Ideally, you would want to use a steel metric plug that screws in...

Pelican carries the plugs.
