Anyone have a picture of the turbo oil return pump? Preferably internal pics, but will take any I can get right now.

Never seen one before, thanks for the pics.

I'm a little confused... Where are the gears or the impeller?

EDIT: I see where the gears are now. Any chance of a pic of them?

Cool piece of engineering. Does anyone know if this will fit on any engine, or does the camshaft need a special adapter?

Fits only the 930 engine (unless you mod the cam and cam tower?).

I just picked up a Sportomatic oil pump that runs off the cam on the back of the motor. I think I may see if I can use it to scavenge the turbos. It looks like it is as capable as the 930 pump. The pics I have show the one on the 935 and it only has one pump. How is it plumbed into both turbos? A splitter?

I thought this was an interesting solution...not to get off topic.

Neil Harvey (Performance Developments) and I discussed this back when I was rebuilding my engine and was exploring twin plug options. Some of the 956 and 962 race cars utiltized the cam to drive a distributor. In Neil's application, he used an ignition module from Link and dual coils. The advance in the stock dizzy is locked down, utilizing the trigger, and the Link module/ECU controls the timing...fully programable.

So this is a scavenge pump modified to accept a basic 911 "E" or "T" cap and rotor. It's used in conjunction with your stock dizzy...two dizzys

It would probably be cheaper just to go twin coils and run one crank mounted trigger wheel, but it is a really neat concept. The 959 had a dizzy driven of each bank of the engine.

Yeah there's lots of ways to fire 12 plugs. I just thought it was interesting in that this part had a dual role: scavenge pump and dizzy...
