993 He's on a 930?
Hey Guys,
Are there any hard positives to having a set of 993 HEs fabbed up on say a 79 930?... I may have the chance to set some that are done up to fit a 930.. are they any better than a stock set of euro HEs? Do they reduce lag? Thanks! |

The driver's side exit on a 993 exchanger comes out at a bad angle for the stock location. (I have a set mounted on the Evil Engine if you take a look at that thread). They would be good for a center mount though. The primary tubes are much shorter than the stock J-tube configuration. You also have the heat plumbing to deal with. Oil line change required as well.
Do you have any pictures?

There are much better options for the 930 IMHO. the 930(ssi set) being one of them. to much fab required for the 993 exchagers to work properly

Well.. I am trying to get something going for as cheap as I can. SSI's are GREAT but they cost!.. 993s are CHEAP to get.
