All you need now is the top headliner piece to tie it all together!
This will add alot of security to the interior, it is a perfect set up for a dual purpose car. |
What headliner piece? All sections for the setup are there, truss, top supports, down rods, cross seat section (2 bars) and mount brackets.

I do not see the R-1940...
http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/R-1940.php This piece really ties it all together, and triangulates the b-pillar. Also, why did you not use the hole in the rear body brace brackets for the vertical support tubes? |
I see! It must be a new piece, when I bought the setup this wasn't available in the package. As to the mounting, the shop in California set it up, which I'm might have been incorrectly done?
Do you have a pic of how it should be mounted in the rear seat area? |

They will be doing a follow up article with the R-1940 in a later issue. He actually got it a little wrong as well, the machined cup washer should be flipped around, so that it sleeves over the collar that comes out of the body: The rear body brace brackets suppose to cradle over the body collar. I have plenty of pictures of how it should be. It would be easier to email them to you though. |
Just sent you a PM.
