AFR Tutorial, Please !!!
Hello,
I am in the process of installing, and learning how to use, an LM2 . . . what are the "good numbers" with regard to AFRs for idle, low RPM, midrange, WFO, etc ??? I know this has been discussed extensively in the past, but it is hard to put all this together via the search function (info scattered everywhere) . . . Thank you !!! Ronnie |
Well under full throttle, I would like to see 11.2-11.8 (depending on boost level and heat)
Under cruising, you may want 14.5- 15.5 or maybe a little more depending on load Idle should be a less than cruising Some people will argue these numbers, I always try to keep it fat under throttle and as lean as possible under crusing (better gas mileage, less oil contamonation, cleaner motor, less wearing) |
I've asked similar questions but have only heard general answers so far. It would be great to see the perfect AFR curve on a chart.
A lean idle is said to be good, but above that I can only assume that 11.8 is ideal. |
