Removal of rear trailing arm bushings
How do I do this. Do I need to press them out? I searched but could not find anything on the rear bushings.
Thanks, Steve

Bushing Removal
Quote:
You seem to be following in my recent foot steps ... I did the Elephant suspension replacement and they have procedures on their website that detail the process fairly well. But if I had to do it all over again, I'd take the control arms to a shop and have the old bushings pressed out and the new pressed in. It's not a terribly difficult job to do, but the risk of breaking a control arm that costs ~$1800 is possible. Regards, Dave

If you want to simply put fresh factory rubber in there, its very easy to remove/replace.
If you're looking to upgrade to a mono-ball cartridge, you need to get the steel inserts out. I carefully cut mine with a hacksaw and dremel tool: ![]()

I am upgrading to mono-balls. And yes those steel inserts were quite the challenge. I got it done and the mono-balls will go in tomorrow. Thanks for all the advice.
