1979 930 Engine Number Verification

I am looking at purchasing a low mile 1979 930. The engine number provided by the seller is 6890354 930/64. Is this the original engine for the car? Also what upgrades should it have or recommend?

S/N shows it being a 1979 motor but there's no 930/64, it should be 930/61 for USA,930/63 for Calif.,930/60 ROW, 930/62 Japan.

my 79 930 engine is a 930/64

I believe the type 930/64 was a California model for 79.

I don't see a 930/64 in the Red Book either. S/N matches though.
