930 wont start

I have an 87 911 turbo. Just pulled the engine to do a new tranny. While it was out i washed the engine and replaces seal, gaskets bla bla bla. I reinstalled everything and now she wont start. I have spark and i have fuel at the intake injectors. Im so confused. any help would be apprea.

Did you pull the dizzy while it was out? If so, check that you aren't off 180°

no the distrib was left alone. is there anyway u can hook the starter up in reverse

What do you mean by "it won't start"? It won't turn over at all, or turns over and just won't fire up?

well she starts up but runs crappy. idles around 300 real rough stalls. try to give it gas and it bogs. almost like the wires are bad or arcing out

"washed the engine" ,, did you put new plug wires on ?
Start with the basics,, spark, timing etc..
Where are you ?? Lot's of good guys here are happy to swing by and take a look if we know where you are.

well that was weird. I went out this morning and it fired right over. idles at 900 took it for a ride ran like a raped date on prom night. i think it might have been flooded.

I have B&B headers and looking to get rid of the stock waste gate and stock pop off valve setup. Anyone have pics or info on what im gonna need.

Whats the best wastegate to go with everyone is pointing towards tial.

Don't you just love a 20-30 year old car!

What intercooler do you have? A long neck IC Like B&B or Kokeln will help get rid of the old BOV. There are some knock off WG on eBay that might be worth looking into. Never tried one but others have.

Otherwise, a Tial is s good one.
