964 Turbo (965) rear suspension conversion to RSR 3.8 specs.?

I've searched but came up with nothing.

Has anyone compiled a comprehensive list of parts and/or mods needed to convert the rear suspension of a 964 turbo into the deep offset 964 3.8 RSR rear (assuming this is possible)? Thanks in advance.

The 91-94 turbos because of how there arms are constructed make it difficult to fit wide tires on the back.

From what I understand, the RSR used a special set of arms that were basically
C2 normal arms with solid or stiffer bushings. This made room for 12" (?) rear rims.

That is my understanding (installing n/a carerra trailing arms) as well. However, it seems to me that there would be brake, axle length, swaybar width and wheel offset (anything else?) concerns as well. I'm trying to get a handle on what it would take to do such a thing.

Do a search on Rennlist. There are lots of threads on this subject over there.
I believe that all you need are the C2 control arms, C2 half shafts and C2 sway bar.

Ask Hood- he has a nasty set up involving the C2 arms with deep dished 3.6 turbo rims

Check with Bill Verburg..

- he has quite a bit of insight into the differences and nuances of the 964 suspension..

If you do the N/A trailing arms and want the deep lips let me know as I am building for a fellow Rennlister 10 & 12 x 18 Speedline rims for his TT GT2.

Speedline wheels

I am around - tomorrow I get to start a restoration on a set of Ferrari F40 Speedline wheels. They are 13 x 17 in the rear and should be a treat to restore. 805-498-7261
