turbo and super charger
hi every one. a few days ago i have been driven in a golf 6 1.4 tsi. this car uses both technologies. super charge up to 3k and then the turbo charge picks up the heavy work. even if i done my engine twice and my gearbox once when it comes to turbos im quite ignorant. so my questions are:
1) is it possible to use a super charger in a 930 up to 2.5 to 3k and then our turbo charger will give us free torque and kw for free? 2) if this is possible what electronic device one can use to cut off the super charger in a desired rev? hoping that all the guru's in turbo's got some answers and can educate me. |

It is possible but not practical. With the right combination of drive train gearing and turbocharging setup you can reduce lag to an insignificant lavel. And with current supercharger technology you can run free of drag when off-boost.
