Headlights dimming

Hello,
Need some help from those in the know. Took my car out , 87 930, for an evening drive and the headlights and instrument lights were dimming in and out. They never cut out, just seemed to have a mind of their own. They did not respond to bumps in the road so I don't think its a loose connection. What gives?

Remove and clean/burnish the battery post connections and call us in the morning.

New battery was installed last fall. Any other thoughts/recommendations? Thanks.

Voltage regulator. mine did that and then the RPM gauge started bouncing around shortly there after. Pelican sells them and not to hard of a fix.. it is attached to the alternator so you might have it re-built at the same time.
