86 Turbo Look (Factory) With A 5 Speed?

I was shocked to see a 5 speed in a 86 turbo look I'm thinking of purchasing. I always thought it wasn't available until late 88.

All factory Turbo looks had 5 speeds, only Turbos had 4 speeds till 1989.

Turbo look option came out in '84. It's essentially a normally-aspirated 911 Carrera with turbo bodywork, suspension, and brakes. So the engine and transmission will be normally-aspirated 911 stuff. In '84, '85, and '86 that was the 5-speed 915 gearbox, and from '87-'89 that was the 5-speed G50 gearbox.

The 930 came with a 4-speed gearbox up until '88 (which was based upon the 915, but beefier), and then had the G50-50 5-speed gearbox in '89.
