Wow, somebody should buy this one.

1982 930, 30,000 miles and rebuilt engine. No reserve and sitting at 22 grand.

Not my idea of a great color combo with exterior and interior...but somebody will be happy. Somebody set the car pretty low.

There are a few alarm bells in there ...
"I also have a receipt from "German Auto Works" of Jensen Beach, Fl. dated 09/22/1997 with an odometer reading of 31,071 for a complete engine rebuild and overhaul." ??? Why would a 930 need a rebuild and overhaul at 31K?, Leaking seals maybe, but $8798.50!

"The car has been repainted ... " Why?

Over the years the restrictive aftermarket items installed to get grey market cars to pass EPA requirements damaged these turbos. So if one has not been rebuilt it will generally soon need it if driven in any sort of sporty manor. It is one reason turbos have a bad name for expensive repairs. After all if porsche did not feel the cars were able to be made to have good Hp and pass EPA testing untill 1986 with all their engineering abilities? As for the need to be repainted, that may not be good.

It looks like it has way more than 32K miles. The interior is all scuffed up and weathered.

Paint job? The looks like it was driven through a spray booth with the windows down! Look in the bonnet....lots of overspray, the passenger side dash overspray, the door jams, the wiggly joint of the turbo-tail rubber. Can you say; Someone is flippin a car?
Run!!

Also, note the cabriolet tonneau cover snap anchors on the dash--in a coupe?

That car is a Frankenstein. Cab dash, no fender mounted turn indicators (started in 1980 euro I believe), recessed fogs, painted (look at the strut top nut), third brake light, H5s???, 8 way power seats (were those available in 1982??), locking seat backs (weren't those also later???).

Yeah, this puupy has a few stories..

Can't tell if the car was black and painted white.. see engine comp. Interior has later seats and Cab dash in lipstick or can-can red.. however the carpet looks to be lobster which would be more correct for the year/euro.

Run Forrest!!

Easy on the white and red fellas, some of us like that stuff!

Speaking of polarizing color combos look what popped up on the for sale forum.

I just saw the price and the fact that the auction is ending now so I figured I would post it. I never read the description beyond engine rebuild.

That is the beauty of the ebay market, the price usually reflects whether the car is good or just a beater.
