JWest Headlight relay kit
I bought one of the JWest Headlight relay kits for my 77 Turbo. The instructions seem to be a little different regarding the 2 connections at the fuse panel. The instructions say to use the wires from 5 & 6, but looking at the wiring diagram, it appears that it should be, I believe, 3 & 4 from the fuse panel toward the from of the car.
Has anyone installed this kits before? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. Great information.
Have you installed the kit in your '77?

Karsten,
Yes, I installed the relays on my 77 930, and yes the fuses were different than the instructions provided. I recomend a 12 volt test light and use the owners manual to help identify the correct fuses for low and high beams. Once you determine which ones, follow the directions provided.

Steve,
I used a test light, and read the inside of the fuse panel cover, and the left and right headlights appear to have different fuses for each the low and high beam. Which ones would I use to connect for the relays? There are two yellows and two whites, one of each gets connected to the fuse panel, and the other gets connected to the wire that was in the fuse panel. That leaves two wires in the fuse panel for the headlights that are not running though the relays. Or are only the high beams run through the relays? Thanks Karsten

Karsten,
You run each circut thru each of the relays, one for low beam and the other for high beam. I ll check the fuse #'s tonight and will post later. Steve

Karsten,
I have tagged the fuse #'s in the picture. Its a little difficult to see, but going from left to right you have High Beam Fuse #1, High Beam Fuse #2, Low Beam Fuse #3 and Low Beam Fuse #4. The #'s refer to the fuse numbers as indicated on the fuse panel cover. The instructions provided in the kit, count the fuses down starting from the front of the fuse panel. It makes it a little confusing at first......You may also see how the relays are wired into the fuse block. I hope this helps ![]() ![]()
