turbo 911, stock 930 trans ???
Hi Guys,
I have 915 thread going over on the 911 section. I am exploring the idea of a turbo engine in my 911 project....most agree that the 915 will be on the verge with the type of numbers I am looking at....never mind tuned… ![]() It will be a light weight (2000#) street car for fun only. I am sure the 930 box would hold up. How do you think the stock gearing would be with the power characteristics of the dyno below? If I should re-gear what would you do? ![]()

Turbo guys don't like stock gearing of the 4spd if that tells you anything.
I've been running a 915 for over 10 years with similar Tq/HP as you are showing.

I like the 4 speed. It takes a little getting used too but get the car out of the city where it can stretch it's legs, put it in third and leave it. Also the more weight I take out the better it feels!!! I haven't driven a car with a 915 but Im sure they are the same way once you adapt all is well. The gearing and transmissions just adds to the mystique of these cars . Im sure your tranny will be fine as Brian can attest to.
