Good front hood lift support brands?
Has anyone found a brand of lift supports that last longer than a year or 2?
I have tried the Stabilus brand but they seem to last only a year or two? |

I don't there are any.
I keep a broomstick with a small nail in it up front and one behind the seat for the rear. Painted black, they look great! ![]() |

I agree with Rocket. pelican sells a carbon fiber rod that attaches to one of the snaps.

I would rather have the pieces that are designed for the car. The "rod" looks as if the wind caught it, it would fall and the trunk would then fall? Is this true?
I cant believe that know one knows a good replacement one. |

That's not bad, but I'd like it better if the top was wedged in one of the slots of the hood frame. That might help with a gust of wind (if that's an issue?).
