front tires

I have change from 15 inch BBS to 17 inch. I was running 225's on my 15 inch. can I run a 245 nitto on 17 inch in the front without rubbing. with the 225's I was 4.5 inner and 4.5 outer. now I've gone with 4 inch outer and 5 inch inner hoping that 245 would sit inside the fender. will I experience rubbing with 245's? should I stay with 235's ? THX for any advice.. GARY

there should be no problems with 245s , I know lot's of guys that run 255s as well.

I don't know what your offset and backspacing are, so no guarantee that 245 will fit. That being said, if the wheel is sized properly you should be able to stick up to a 255 in the front as the fenderwells are spacious enough.

The 15 inch I was running had no offset,they measure 4 1/2 inner and 4 1/2 outer and with 225's they would sit right inside the lip. I quessed at going with making the rim sit 1/2 inch further in that I could put a 245 17 inch tire and still still inside the lip. I haven't purchased the front tires yet so I thank-you for your input.

I ran 225 on 9" OZ (31mm offset), no rubbing, 235 slightly rubbing

I'm running 255's. The only rubbing I have is on the fender lip, but my car sits pretty low.

Yeah you married guys don't get much rubbing at all, unless you do the rubbing yourself
