Help Front brakes ... unknown rotors!
Hello Guys,
The Turbo is in the shop for some mild upgrades prior to me returning home. I asked to have the brakes checked. Much to my dismay the front rotors need replacement! Now, .... this is a problem as the car is fitted with a fully floating rotor / hat assembly and big reds! The shop cannot seem to figure out what rotors these are and how to find / order another set. So, ... the car is just sitting! The rotor is ~ 322mm OD and 32mm thick. It is a 12 bolt. I have been told its a race brembo, maybe? nobody can seem to figure out what to order and from where. Can anyone on here help? Last option is a full replacement of the front rotor / hat with another adapter for the caliper! This is ugly, but .... I want to drive! Can anyone recommend a good kit? Floating is prefered, but ... maybe not needed with my driving. Thanks Chris |

It could be several different combinations of rotors and hats.
We need a few pics and I'm sure somebody would recognize them.

You could call Vehicle Craft to see if they could help you out. They have many brake kits with many rotor size options.

Hey Chris, you could use some 993TT (10 Bolt) front rotors. They would be the proper and available set. Cost is currently ~195 each range for the German reproductions. These feature a removable hat you would then retrofit with the MODE billet adapter hats which cost about ~550 set (in stock). These have the proper offset for the 82- turbo hubs. Another option would be a Girodisc brand which come in a slotted rotor and typically last longer.. you would order without hats. Let me know if you need some help on this one.
