Need Help for UTCIS
 

Hi guys,
I ordered my UTCIS from unwired tools about 6 months ago and when i received my prdouct it was missing a vacumm hose and i have been trying to contact Steve and Frank but i have no luck getting reply back from them, i have sent Steve couple emails with pictures of the piece but still no answer at all so can anyone tell me if the missing vacuum hose is supposed to have reading from manifold pressure?

My suggestion would be to go to the local hardware and buy a few feet and stick it on. I think 1/4 od is about 16 cents a foot at Ace Hardware.

You did buy the UTCIS-PT not the UTCIS-V, or other, right?

yes i bought the UTCIS-PT, so the missing vacuum hose is for the manifold pressure right?

Looks like it, although the sensor has moved a little on the board from the version I have. But there's only two and the other one is connected to read control pressure from the needle valve assembly, so.... :)

Be aware that their statement in the install docs that the box needs a good ground to work is true; when I hooked mine up temporarily with just the WUR power connector to get the map off it, the manifold & temperature sensors didn't show what you'd expect in the "Live Data" tab... When everything was connected properly there was no problem.

My shipped with that hose clamp [on the fuel line] loose and the unit filled up with fuel in 10-seconds. So, take a second and ensure that clamp is tightened, too.

I've sense returned mine...

Wow. I bought a used one of an older design, which has two hose clamps inside.

Opened it up, and the clamps weren't as snug as I'd like for something that might be seeing fuel up to 4 bar, so I tightened them both down maybe 1/3 turn. There weren't any signs that it'd been leaking, though...

OMG, be careful. I sent mine back for warranty replacement and have not received anything back other than 36 email promises and one bogus UPS tracking number that has yet to be tracked past the front door of Unwired Tools. This has gone on for seven months.
