Guys,
Just wanted to say hey, and tell everyone I'm rarely I forums guy, even though I'm a geek. But, I'm super excited about my car, it's probably one of the few things in life I really care about. I just bought it off of ebay, cash for 9k- It's been driving for 2 weeks really well. I'm keeping it in a garage, and I've been obsessing over improving it (on top of its amazing condition) A couple of quick questions: 1. I don't have the time or space to fix the car myself, but I'm super passionate about keeping this baby in fit condition. Is this the place for me? 2. How do I go about choosing a garage, a home base for this car to be maintained? 3. I feel like I'm one in a million by owning this car. Does everyone else feel this way? And here she is.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for reading! - Ben from New Orleans |

Beautiful car Ben. Unless I'm mistaken about your car it doesn't appear to be a turbo and you have found the turbo sub forum. I would recommend posting in the 911 forum for more replies.
Best of luck with your new car. And yes....you will find others here who are passionate about their cars. |

Beautiful. Brings back really old memories of my first Porsche, a '73 Targa with mechanical fuel injection. I think it was puting out something like 160 hp (considerably less than half of what my 930 cranks out) but its gearing and higher compression engine made it a blast to carve out turns. A freely revving, very nimble car. You'll enjoy the heck out of it and smile until your face hurts.

Guys, thanks for the replies.
I'm serious, I never knew life could be so good. Business, and this car. Wow. Mark, coming from a V6 Buick, and a V4 04' Galant.... This thing feels like I'm driving the spirit of greater men before me. Enough kick to impress, but enough miles in it's bones to show me the ropes. Thanks guys (I reposted as suggested). - Ben |
