Ruf clutch cable for 86 930

Replacing the clutch cable in my 86 930 which has a Ruf 5-speed. Apparently this may be a special length cable since the one I ordered from Pelican is about 1.5 inches to short.
Anyone else out there with a Ruf 5-speed that has BTDT?
Thanks....
Drew
(Have e-mailed Ruf in Michigan, but it's the weekend...might as well get some research in)

On the pre 1978 Porsche 930 cars the bellhousing is about 1 1/2 inches shorter than the later cars due to the change from the 935 style clutch package to the rubber style to eliminate clutch chatter from non experienced type of drivers usage of these cars. Are you sure you recieved/orderded the cable for the later car if there is a difference?

Sending this one back...might have to wait for Ruf to get back to me on this one. Had a private e-mail that stated the Ruf might need a 76 turbo cable, but when you look at the pic it has no hooked end which mine has.

Have you checked if the 89' 930 cable will fit? That had has a G50/50 5 speed transmission.

Just to let you know the 89 G50 has a hydraulic clutch and has no cable.
