Transmission improvements
I heard that there may be a conversion for an early 930 4 speed to a 5 speed .
I would like to improve the performance with loser ratios or shorter gears.

I think Ruf made something like it back in the day.... They are very rare nowadays, and if you find one, well, it would probably be cheaper just to buy a G50 and be done with it. ( If you must have a 5 speed)

Plus 1 on the shorter R&P. Get a roll going in first and then punch it and it feels like the front wheels lift off the ground, then hold on for the ride of your life!

That sounds awesome, but how much does the top end suffer and what sort of revs is the car at about 70 mph assuming that level of gear reduction ?
What is the cost commitment once the tranny is on the floor ?
