How to remove 930 exhaust?
4 of the six 13mm nuts have come off using a 1/2" distributor wrench and a rubber mallet.
Any advice for reaching this one? The exhaust is blocking my hammer swing and somebody here has done this smarter than I have. ![]()

Use penetrating oil for several days. Do use 12 point wrenches. 6 point only. Pretty small nuts to be using a hammer. Try a 6 point socket , maybe with a swivel you can get a better angle. Most cautious people use a small torch to heat the nut up. You will Be in alot of hurt if you break a stud.

That engine looks really rough, life will be easier if you freshen it up before installation.

The exhaust finally came off in one piece, and today I got the SSI's off of my 2.7.
All of the nice clean 2.7 parts are fitting nicely on the 3.3. I'm hoping the bottem end is in the condition promised by the seller. It's on an engine stand ready for leakdown testing now. Not to jump ahead too far, but once the 3.3 is running I'm feeling confident about rebuilding the 2.7 myself now.
