source for color coded wire

Ok so when i swap to efi I will be building my own wiring harness. Replacing a lot of the existing wire with new plus all the new stuff for EFI. Does anyone know where to get wire in the stock color codes listed in the service manual? Red with blue stripe white with brown etc.

Ken, you can also look at the Aircraft industry. Most wires are plain white, but every 12 inches there is a laser etched number or ID of your choosing... Then, you make your own wiring key, and then, add that to your service manual....

I know, not the answer you were requesting, but another option, none the less....

This is the only source I could find for metric wire with correct colors. I went with standard wire since you really aren't tying into the old wiring system much. I sourced from various places for the best deals. One thing I did was to buy 200ft of 20g TXL white then striped it myself with permanent markers. I also bought a fair amount of shorter sections of colored wire from EFIconnection after I had determined the wire lengths needed. In the end, at least with megasquirt, I would have been better off buying an off the shelf harness from DIYautotune as you got great colored wire a lot cheaper than I could build the harness myself buying bit pieces of wire.
