It is interesting, looks like a nice car! Did Ruf do motors like this? 930 intake manifold with Motronic pressure sensing EFI? Or is it a normal BTR engine that has been modified elsewhere?
I like the intercooler!

"4,272 miles" in "22 years"? Hmmmm.. (And I thought "1987" was 24 years ago?)

from what little experience i have with 930, they prefer not to be neglected. if i drive mine at least 4 times a week, it seems happier.
i don't have any idea if this car will bring $50,000.00, but i like the car a lot. if it won't smog, ????

Wow..that car is seriously bad ass...some high dollar parts are on it...You can tell it has been painted at some point in its life and I would make a few minor changes but for the most part..very sweet.

Seems fishy that it has RUF stickers on it instead of the emblems. RUF would never use a blown six IC either.

Slow&Rusty, yes I agree a very neat car to think about driving and and and.

This was built @ RUF also. The early street cars with RUF intercoolers were very similar to each other however since then other intercoolers were available. Most of the earlier ones i've seen that were built from Germany have the same. Mine was upgraded at RUF in Dallas so it's just the way it can be done @ RUF in Dallas.

A PPI is a given for any car and it would turn up any inconsistencies if done by the right person.

EDIT: Ok, now after reading more, I have my doubts about its authenticity. The stickers on the rear deck lid were sold on eBay for years. I see the engine sticker but what about the plate under the hood. Granted this may have been a RUF modified car at some point as it does have some expensive items (the trans for 1) . I do agree that the car looks good.

Yep, no rain gutters, BIG jog to get rid of those properly! But, and i'm quite amazed, it still has a sunroof!! Surely if you were going to the trouble of getting rid of the gutters you'd delete the sunroof too!?
It's an odd build, i like it..... Lincoln, you'll know more about it?

Very interesting car.

Looks kinda crusty 'n oily down under tho for an alleged 4k or whatever - somewhat odd if you ask me.

Kinesis wheels are gnarly but IMO don't do that car any favors, and the sidewalls scrubed the fenders a bit.

What's w/ the door pockets being scrapped but leaving the top flaps and grab handles? Also missing the driver's lock knob cover. Odd oversights / neglects for such a low mileage and significant car, my gut.

Cool car regardless - love that rear decklid spoiler.

Funny you mention the AIM dash Andy - go figure... check European Car Mag this month, I pub'd my bud's 10sec Audi which rocks that - looooooove that setup.

I love the look of this car, so I emailed the seller in an effort to get some info in regards to what kind of mileage was put on this car in the 11 year gap since the last odometer reading and the odometer disappearing.

His response:

"I am sorry but the car caught on fire and burned to the ground. "

How sketchy does the vehicle history have to be if the seller would prefer to blow off a potential buyer than explain? lol.
