I'm glad this community has finally gotten around to discussion and use of water/alcohol injection. I've been using it on boosted systems for years and have endured the criticism from the charge air cooler crowd who don't understand it's unique benefits.

Just one point of clarification and warning. Water/alcohol at 50/50 in non-flammable. This is not the case at higher ratios of alcohol concentration. Many water/alcohol systems tanks, pumps, lines, valves are safe for 50/50 but dangerous for say 100% Methanol injection. Systems for full strength alcohol injection should be plumbed like a gasoline system as the risks and outcomes of fire are the same.

I have methanol in my garage from a previous gas turbine project but prefer denatured alcohol from Lowes. Methanol is very nasty stuff.
