Lightweight turbo RSR, custom fenders flares front bumper
Hi guys,
I finally have some decent pictures to share of the custom work on my project. It has been a long road and I will do a full build post once the car is finished, but here are the broad strokes / goals: 1976 non sunroof 911 chassis 930 euro spec motor, full rebuild, custom cams, custom turbo, twin plug, coil on electronic ignition etc., etc., etc. 930 trans full rebuild and re-geared w lsd Full coil-over conversion Custom roll bar and half cage Street driven / track ready….i plan to daily drive the car, weather permitting Around 2000 lbs wet 400hp / 400tq to the wheels Race car / minimalist interior and exterior Being built be Dawe’s Motorsports, Stroudsburg PA….a great family owned shop run by Peter with his sons Kevin and Trevor…..link here: Home - Dawe's Motorsports These guys have mad skills and build mostly race cars…..but I have seen a few “regular” 911’s, Caymans and the like up there as well. We needed to get some wide wheels under the car so the narrow body work had to go…. The rear flares bolt on with cam locks and are custom molded to allow an addition 1” of lowering without rubbing….they are about 13” wide. The fenders have been widened to about 11”….i didn’t want rsr fenders on a street car. The front bumper / spoiler is a custom unit based on the 1974 turbo RSR. Feedback is appreciated. Enjoy. If you see anything you like including the front bumper / valance call the shop, I think they will produce it on a per order basis....
The rear flares are cool too, they are custom molded to allow an extra inch of lowering without rubbing issues. Kevin |
I just noticed the safety wiring of the rolled pin...I (we) need to do that. Good job on the body mods. I asked a question over at 911 technical board about the rear tail. What brand and model is it?
