Fuel line leak at injector
I was noticing a very faint fuel smell while my car was running. Turns out my fuel injector is leaking at the connection with the fuel line. Tightening the fuel line doesn't make the leak stop.
I removed the injector and it seems like the ball at the end of the line had somewhat of a groove. I'm guessing that's what's causing the leak. Any suggestions how to stop the leak? Do I have to buy a new line? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately it sounds like your line has been over-tightened resulting in the ferruled end becoming egg shaped. If the damage is slight you may get away with using a small amount of fuel sealant tape on the threads of the nut. More likely though is that the line must be replaced. Not a fun job, hopefully on the passenger's side.

Thanks guys. When I got this car I didn't trust the injectors so I swapped them out and I noticed the ferruled end looked damaged. I tried to polish it out and it seemed to have worked but that wasn't the case. It still leaked!! lol
Anyone have just a #5 fuel line for sale?

Is there a difference between Euro fuel lines vs smog (US) fuel lines?
EDIT: Nevermind. I looked it up. It appears they are different. So, anyone have just a #5 fuel line for a Euro fuel head for sale? ![]()
