New to the Los Angeles/Orange County area and need a trusted mechanic. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Vision Motorsports in Lake Forest is a little far for you, but the team over there is 2nd to none. They mostly work on the newer stuff now, and they can take a while to get to your car, but the guy who owns it is an ex andial guy with lots of experiemce with 930s. I've taken my car to TruSpeed in Costa Mesa in a pinch and they've been very honest and reliable. Both tend to get pretty expensive, but as others chime in, you tend to get what you pay for.

Give Gary Topal a call at Factory Werks, FactoryWerks. He's pretty much a one man shop and is honest, fair and local.

I'd recommend you stop by all the shops you are considering to find out which one gives you the most confidence.

My wife and I use Autowerkes in HB near Gothard and Talbert. They have a good reputation far as I know.

I second the Factory Werks and Gary Topal. He is close to Seal Beach also in HB near Bolsa. I have known him for years and always found him to be knowledgeable, fair and honest. I moved away or would still be going there.

Like Tinker said it would be best to visit local shops and talk to the owner or managers first.
