Thought you guys could appreciate this !!!

Got a belated Christmas gift from my stepson. He always tries to find something
unique and auto related. I thought this was just awsome.

I work and hang in the basement with the Sled just next door and my truck
parked just outside the door so this is really where I live. Chris found a
Nurburgring track layout wall hanging for my man cave.

The base is about 6 layers of alternating light/ dark laminated wood with a dark
brown laminate top layer.
Really first class, the track layout was cnc cut out of one sheet. Very cool.

Bait:

I thought some cougar finally killed you off.

I can understand how you might have come to that conclusion
as you've obviously see some of my previous drawings.

Chris got the wall hanging from Speedgear they have about 15
different tracks but he knew mine would have to be the Nurburgring.

When are we going to start seeing some pictures of the new
makeover?????

Really f'ing cool, but you need a bigger TV and have to ditch the oil painting and dried grass to call it a man cave.

Merlin:

The TV is a 42" flatscreen and I'm sitting 6 ft. away from it, from here
it looks like a drive-in theater. The painting is actually a picture my wife
took of an old RR track behind the house where she grew up, the weeds
came from there also. I don't know if your married but I got the very
best woman God ever put on this earth and you don't mess with a wife
that spoils you as much as my wife does me.

No, I am not married, my father made that mistake twice.... All kidding aside, I understand completely, I have a great girl and although I own the house, she has slowly crept into almost every room. Lucky for me she lets that stripper pole stay as well as the full bar and Viper Coffee table in the "play room" and she hates going in the "man cave" a.k.a the garage because it's smells like gas all the time, unless she needs to get to her motorcycle...

I hope you noted my sarcasm

Cole,
I got sidetracked as I'm building a spec miata for this coming race season. I do have a painter (primer only) lined up so hope to get that done soon and as soon as the garage is empty (2-3 weeks) can commence with chopping off fenders and adding flares..
Merlin,
Damn I need to hang out with you next time I'm in NH .

I noted your location in the past. I used to own a bar in Manchester, we'd have a looong weekend downtown. You are more than welcome to visit and bring the wifes Miata too.

Getting back on topic, I love the wall art. The coffee table I mentioned is from my 95 season with Skip Barber. Something cool to tell the kids someday about. Same thing goes for that wall art, it starts conversation and you can bring people into your world for a minute when you explain what it is.

And Brendon is my real world name.... IMR-Merlin is from my stunt team. I just used the same screen name so if you google search, you find my posts in all forums from here, bikes and such.

6 feet or 2 feet, the tv can never be big enough . Your wall art is cool, its nice to have family that 'gets' the passion. besides my dog, my wife is the only other family member 'gets' the car guy in me... She bought me my meth injection last Xmas, and a welder this Xmas... Good catch I'd say... She's also got family in Germany and promised i could have at least one track day at the ring (im thinking at least 3) when we finally get over there to vist (someday when ths damn Econ gets a little better....).

Brendon, let's see some pics of the table...

Nothing special, just the rim and tire with a round piece of glass. Great conversation piece though. I'll snap a shot tomorrow and I will dig up a pic of the SBRS car it came off of and scan that too.

Um, Element Lounge.... once I sold it, they made it an alternative lifestyle bar and kept the same name. Wouldn't bother me except I received 2 awards from the city for the renovation and if you google me, the bar comes up and if you google the bar some really "different" pictures of the patrons come up. LOL

I used to manage Charley Peppers, was the head bartender at a handful of places, built 5 bars on Elm street before I built mine and my roommate and 2 good friends own the Shaskeen now..

I'm with Cole. Us hanging out might be the worst/best idea ever. haha

Where do you frequent when in town?

Well if you two get together and end up needing a place to hide your welcome here.

I have some Amish friends I could hide you with !!!
