Nice...
Two problems for me: 1) I would need to add 100k+ to the acquisition cost for wife's jewelry and couture clothing collection...maintains "don't ask don't tell" status and preserves martial bliss 2) I would drive this car and add miles...probably ill advised at that price point

But the Yellowbird has the wider rear flares to accomodate 17X10 RUF Speedlines, no?

My dream garage would contain all 6 of these.
I still don't understand how those intercoolers (or by reports don't) work, they must be in cut-outs through the engine bay. They have been said to not work well but they can't be that bad with the figures it has laid down.

Must have been suitable enough for RUF to locate the intercoolers there to support those boost levels at that Comp Ratio. The NACA ducts were pretty useless apparently though. Didnt suck air in, but pushed air out ![]() Last edited by 911TT33; 01-15-2012 at 01:14 AM.. |

From what I understand, there is no Ruf Vin # on the car, there is a Porsche Vin #.

I love this car.
Study it well, this overall vehicle system approach to performance was demonstrated close to 25 years ago and it didn't need an over-boosted 1000HP mega$ engine to do it. |

Then the VIN should be the 17 digit type.

This was done to be able to "re-import" the car to the states and avoid any DOT or EPA issues. The only thing that the donor car gave up was its VIN and paper. This car was absolutely, positively a NEW Ruf build from the '89 shell outward... |

And thus the brilliance of what LF did back when the car was new... I laughed when I read that Excellence article not long ago about "The only CTR in North America". LF's has been here since '90ish , travelling back and forth to Europe (I think a few times), enjoying the racetracks of the Southeast, and a little road work... While not being scrutinized by anyone because of its identity of a lowly little 911T.
As far as the 50 states... CA might be a challenge smogwise, but everywhere else it's good to go. |
