Need some help

Any of you guys that have replaced your original air cleaner assy.
I need the metal support ring and gasket used on the 930 air
cleaner where the air cleaner attaches to the CIS. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

THANKS !!!!!

Cole

Looks like you can get them through Pelican . . .

Note that on the second one, Pelican calls it "air cleaner support" but the Porsche PET refers to it as "support ring" (though it is not show in the drawing) . . .

I'm glad to be able to help, Cole!

Hopefully Pelican is able to get the parts . . . the website says they can, but as we all know, that is not always accurate.

Does any one have a picture or know what the air clean support ring looks like? is it what the air cleaner housing bolts to? or is it some sort of metal ring that works in combination with the round seal. Part number from PET: 930 110 121 02 support ring

Thanks in advance. Ben

It is the metal ring that goes around the air-opening in the metering assembly . . . it holds the large o'ring/seal that the OEM air cleaner presses against.

Pic here (this one has a visible dent in it) -

Ronnie,

Awesome, thanks for the link to the picture, you just saved me 40 bucks from ordering a new one! Quite sure I still have that on my Metering Assembly, just need a new seal.

Thanks again!

Ben

Ben:

Ron is our resident P car parts expert. Whenever you can't find something
Ronnie is our go to guy !!!!!!!

This is the factory placement of the ring and seal as used on our cars.

I purchased a second ring and seal to make a cap and screen when I
made my 934 air stack.

Also:

The pic Ron posted clearly shows the infamous CIS mystery cone on
top of my metering plate. I have a break in the case and will be meeting
with two German brothers that have over 100 years combined experience
working on and for both Porsche and Mercedes. I am pretty confident we
will have all the answers about this thing soon.

I also found a metal spinner about 25 miles away that can reproduce
these for us if needed.

Ronnie, I fixed the dent !!!!!

Cole

Ha! Good thing you fixed the dent, Cole, or I was going to talk some **** about your attention to detail! Actually, I didn't know that was yours - the pic came up when I typed "Porsche CIS air meetering assembly" into google.
