Upholstery question

Hello. The drivers side seat back is showing wear on the door side. Are the seat back leather coverings interchangeable from passenger side to driver side and vice versa? Is so, what is involved? Thanks.

Don't know what year or seats you have but late eightees seats - yes.

Remove the plastic covers over the hinges, remove one hinge shoulder bolt on each side and disconnect the cable on the little splined things that disengage a linkage and let you swing the seatback forward when you pull up on the plastic levers on the sides.
Simple.. You'll see as you take them apart.

Switch the backs and put them back together. I did it for the same reason.

JFairman- thanks for your response. I wonder if I can loosen up the seatback release mechanism at the same time? 2 birds with 1 stone! Perfect!
