Look in the EFI ignition map thread. Several to choose from. Mines pretty good with tons of low end torque and PT cruise with safe 1-1.1 bar timing.

You have to subtract around 8 degrees for twin-plugging from what I've read/heard here.

Tippy,
Thanks for the tip! Do you run a tec3r also? What's your setup? Can you email me a copy of your working bin file? Thanks! |

No, I'm running Ford EDIS with MegaSquirt II.
I tried to search the thread I was referring to but the search function seems to not find it. Anyways, PM me and I can send mine. Not a problem. ![]() |

I have a TEC GT base map file that I can send you if you want. Send me your email and I will send it. I cannot see a way to attach to these messages - only photos.
The file is for a 3.3 single plug and 55# injectors, but the timing and other settings should be close enough to get you started I would guess.

I sent you a base file from my computer. You will need to adjust it for your engine config, so stay off boost until you get some tweaks done. If you plug your wideband into your laptop and are using the latest WinTec application, you can tune in the driveway as well as while you drive.
Make sure the EGO correction option is OFF for now, so the software will avoid trying to auto tune your map for you. Once you get your base maps all set, you have the option of turning on EGO correction and the software will continue to tune your map for you at a finer level of granularity. I have not found this to be something I prefer, so still have it off. I am glad to try to help you to the extent I am able. Though I am no pro, I have achieved a pretty good map for my car and in the process I have learned a lot of the screens - assuming your product uses all the same screens. You may also want to check out Clewett Engineering site. Richard has a basic tuning guide posted there that gives you the correct sequence to go through to make initial adjustments. It is a handy reference. I think all those doc's are in the "support" area on his site.
