Thumbs up Carbon Fiber Valve covers

I'm in the process of potentially developing Carbon Fiber Upper and lower valve covers for the 911 and 930. The big question is; is there any demand for super high quality Carbon Valve covers?? A set of upper covers would be offered somewhere in the high $600s. I have not yet determined a price for the lowers. I know the uppers would be bullet proof and come with a long term warranty. The weight saving would be minimal, the primary function would be cosmetic.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

It sounds like a cool idea but not $600 cool.

Carbon fiber is always a tough value proposition. How about 300 for just uppers that are configured with hold down clamps for coil on plug?

uppers and lowers with hold downs for Coil on plug and about 300.I remember thos IA ones were 250. Any higher and for most people it would be too much just for bling.

Thank you for the feedback. Coil on plug mount sounds like a great way to create value above just appearance. Great idea. I was thinking the same in regard to pricing about $300. It's looking like I may not be producing these based on the feedback.

Thanks again!

But CF has poor thermal conductivity. The aluminum covers are part of the heat dissipation as oil gets splashed on the underside and then transfer heat to the open area in the cam tower.

I agree they would look pretty cool and the thought of covers with COP mounts would be great.

Ditto Jamie. Seems like CF would actually hold the heat in and insulate rather than dissipate.
