Back on the slippery slope my next 930
Well after trading my 87 for an aftermarket slantnose and finding out that I did not want an aftermarket slantnose I managed to come full circle back to original. I sold the slant and after searching in every nook and cranny for a worthy 930 I came up with my current love an 86 in Grand Prix White with maroon full leather interior and 68,000 miles. I purchased the car from a private owner who I could tell by talking to had a great love for the car when I left him after taking the car I thought he might start to cry. The car is in really very good overall condition the PO had the car for about 10 years and maintained it right. He had all of the service done at a local respected Porsche shop and had all of the bills to back it up. He even had the original window sticker which I think is very cool and backs up the options the car has. The car is almost completely stock with the exception of the wheels but he did include the factory colored matched Fuchs. I drove the car home from his house about 85 miles and it ran like a champ, handled great and no rattles believe it or not. I am so thrilled to be back in a 930 I feel like a kid on Christmas. Well here are some mandatory pics. Hope you like it

Jealous
Just sold my slant. The slant was cool, but you really can't 'drive it', bc it's not replaceable. ESP a factory 505. If I did it again, I might do a non slant. Car is a stunner! |

Thanks guys. TT I did see the post you had about selling your car and I could not believe it. I did have the oprotunity to buy a perfect 505 Slant with real low mileage it was a concours condition car but as you said I would have felt guilty driving it. I love to put miles on the car so this one fits the bill perfectly.

Nice!
930's are one of very few cars that look good in white ... though the less common Black Metallic is my favorite.

More pics
Thanks guys. The color keyed wheels will definitely go back on during concourses but it rides and handles incredibly with the 17's on it. Nippy that is a beautiful car. Walt and Tim you guys really have to come on a Hawks nest run with us this year it is a great time. I forgot to mention the sport seats which I have never sat in before buying this car they are really a great option. The trunk has color matched carpet not the felt I am guessing that might be an option that was included with the full leather package as it is not listed on the window sticker. I was not crazy about the Ruf steering wheel at first but after driving with the car it grew on me. Here are some pictures of the rest of the car
