How to install heads and Cam towers?

Tearing down to replace cylinder head studs. One snapped during my retorque after the rebuild. I removed the heads and towers together. Is it OK to install the units together or do I need to separate and reseal? No leaks exist. The normal procedure I believe is to torque the towers to the heads and then torque the heads. I am trying to minimize the work but will not jeopardize the repair with short cuts. I'm a few days away of installing as I am waiting on the Snap On stud removal tool. Any input on stud removal would be very helpful also. Thanks for any and all help

its important that they are all the same Ht of the block too....Variations so your came tower does not have to do the Hoolah..and the cam shaft does not have to woble

There are a couple of experienced builders that post on the engine rebuilding forum who do the assembly as you describe (assemble the heads and cam housings prior to installing them on the cylinders/case). One of them is flat6pac - you might shoot him a PM as he is very responsive to questions and such . . .

Use RSR seals in the rocker shafts...cheap insurance
You can install them either way.
Every one has a preferred order (rocker housings )
Plan on having a real torch on stand by for the stud extract. Also you should replace all the studs..its a sign there all done if one breaks

I put the towers on the heads first, then installed.
