If that reciever dryer has been open to humid southern atmosphere for more than a day I think you would be better off just replacing it with a new one. The desicant inside may be saturated from absorbing water out of the air by now and evacuating all day long won't boil it and suck it out.

There's nothing special about that one because it has a griffiths sticker on it.
You can buy a generic new one that's filled with nitrogen gas to keep it dry with the correct oring fittings for about $30 and you'll be better off with colder air rest of summer.
Might be good to use new green AC system orings available from generic auto parts stores, they're cheap, and don't tighten the fittings too much or the orings will squish out and possibly leak.

good luck with it.

Jim

Thanks and I did keep the drier plugged (only unplugged for picture).

I'll look for a replacement for it, too.

Q: do any of the major auto parts stores make the hoses "to fit"?

Any respectable AC shop can make hoses for your 930, and chances are great that they will be better than OEM.
