I Can't Be The Only One Who Does This ...

By most individual standards I've owned a pretty good number of cars. In fifty-six years I've owned nearly seventy vehicles with four wheels - quite a few of them pretty nice ones.

But never, ever, ever have I owned a car that I enjoy just looking at as much as I do my 930. Sometimes, when I'm fiddling in the garage I'll remove the cover just so I can see it. When I know it's not covered I'll find myself opening the door to the garage for no reason other than to ogle. And of course, whenever I park it I absolutely have to take a peek back before it disappears from sight. The Porsche 930 is truly a work of art. Give me a garage with a 930 and a Pagoda-top 280SL and I might never come in the house.

The War Department, bless her heart, thinks I'm obsessed. Maybe she's right this time.

So how about it, I can't be alone in this behavior ... can I?

Nkowi,

I've owned the Old Sled for almost 30 years and nearly every nite
I open the door to my basement garage and flip on the light just to
take a last look at the Old Girl before I go up to bed.

This is the view from my man cave. I spend more time looking out the door than I do looking at the T.V. In fact I often just sit on the sofa and have a quiet beer or single malt and look out the door after working on the car.

My cats photobomb also cracks me up..

Damn English teachers anyway.... (I caught that too, one of my pet peeves....$hit, hope I spelled that right).

The dude I bought my 930 from was still drooling over her wide ass the day I handed him the check. He was already lamenting stroking her hips in the garage - he told me he loved to wax her up (shades of Crisco parties for you old dudes that can dig it)...I swear he was wearing a woody when I waved goodbye. These cars are hot, and make you hot, just to look at.

Didn't your parents teach you never to make fun
of old people and to respect your elders.

In Indiana we call that shorthand.

Back on topic...

A strange 930 owners syndrome, but I'd never admit...

edit, I don't even have a 930 anymore due to my 993 build and I still stare at the car for some reason. Anyhow, another 930 IS in my future. Can't get over the style, just a little envious when I see someone driving their machine.

Porsche Porn

When I'm reading PP or looking at my 930 my wife always comes over and asks if I'm looking at my Porsche Porn.

A Lamborghini Diablo SE30 in that lambo thirty color (purpelish violet) now id never keep my eyes off of that. But also this may sound weired to some but a Peueot 405 would have the same effect on me.
