G50/52 in a 993

hello
I have a 95 993 that i have done a turbo conversion to. Id like to fit a g50/52 in it. Can someone confirm if it will bolt right up. It seems to be about an inch longer than the g50/20 6 speed that was in the car.
Thanks

The turbos do have a longer bell housing and quill length than the normally aspirated gearboxes. 1.1" if memory serves. Whether of not there would be tunnel clearance issues on a 993 chassis not something I can tell you.

Shift rod is not an issue to physically fit it, It will work, shift rod is not an issue, just extend it a few mm (chassis side),or get a 965 shift rod, BTDT., Stefan.

The question wasn't about it hitting. It was about which one was the right length, which you answered.

It asks if it will BOLT right in, been an inch longer wont hurt bolting it to the chassis, this mod is very easy to achieve, cheers, Stefan.

Is your conversion making lots of HP? Are you having any issues with your current 6 speed?
I've actually seen a 964 Turbo, making stock HP (320 at the flywheel) that used a G50 6 speed from a normally aspirated 993 with no issues. The car was tracked regularly, too.
You *might* be ok with your current tranny.
