zr1-Run in Mex

Greetings
Had a meet up with a eclectic blue ZR1-VETTE.Simply bad ass. We did 4 runs or so...we were talking side by side. Driver stated 725 Hp...He was doing some fly-byes by me..NOW-.Lets get to business..1st run 3rd gear approx 60mph -915..got the. Jump..allnlf 3rd and 4th never looked back..2nd run I think the vette-driver bugged out..I can hear him grinding his gearbox and smell his clutch..took him again...After. the run he put his hand across his neck and said- problems with clutch..Minutes later he came up sidenbyside again..Was in 4th..we had an equal start at 65-70 mph..me pulling a little..hit 5th still ahead barely...flew by me after my 915-ran out.. 4th run I wanted to play in 3rd...did a go...and I can hear problems. With his gearbox...gave me the cutoff sign a d gavse me a thumbs ul...A great day for an old school 3.3turbo...have. pics..of vette-problems download on a kindle..will try to fix it..

I'm gonna take it easy on my car since you are doing all the hard work getting our cars the respect they deserve Walt.

FWIW I spanked a Ferrari 458 Italia rather severely in my RUF, it felt great. I shut down at at 5 car lengths and deep triple digit speeds. Down in Mexico of course.

Does Mexico have no laws? I wanna go but don't want to end up in Mexican jail.

I love to hear when our 930's beat up on other cars, but I'm sorry, that is not a ZR1

No.....It was not na......It was supercharged and running race gas.....My hearing and smell senses r still working....Maybe my eyesight is way off... The driver did not stutter when he said 725hp.."Heck I just wanted a nice run"..

2002, while driving across Texas on I-10, a large group of about 30 vette owners came up on me while heading West.

Driving at the time the 3.0L, my SC would not go any further than 140MPH on the lead Z06...and he didn't seem to push it any further than that speed either, so on the road, it appeared a 'draw'.

About 5-6 miles later, I get off the interstate to get gas, and the group of vettes also come to the same station(out in the middle of no where).

The real bummer for the guy in the Z06 was he lost all his gears...car just started making god awful noises as he rowed around to find a gear. Guess someone that day in Bowling Green had an off-day.

The gearbox issue seems to be a reoccurring theme with the Vettes. BTW, I'm sure you intended the above story to be fictional.....The real stories take place in Mexico..of course.
