Testing Spark Plug Connectors

I posted this in the 911 Engine Rebuilding section and got no response. Thought I would give it a try here. Is there a relatively easy way to check spark plug connectors to determine if they are good. Thanks,

Tom

There is usually an ohmage number on the side of the connector.

If I recall correctly it's 4000 ohms. Check them with an ohmeter.

One cheap trick is to pull the connector off the plug and stick an extra plug into the connector, spin the starter after shutting off fuel pumps and see if you get spark at the plug gap, repeat x5. That will grossly tell you if the wire and plug are functional to a certain degree.

Here is a link to a thread I posted about testing and rebuilding plug end connectors - http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/779534-rebuilding-beru-plug-connectors.html
